Hi Gabriel and Adry– It was lots of fun to read about your baseball journey–we’ve often thought about doing this ourselves. We live just outside Cleveland–if you need a place to stay or just want a free meal as you travel here, please consider this an invitation to stay with us. Our home isn’t fancy, but we can make you comfortable. Even though we have lived in Cleveland for over 30 years, Dan grew up in Detroit and is really more a Tiger’s fan. Sarah grew up in Indianapolis and followed the Cincinnati Big Red Machine. Dan is also a huge University of Michigan fan, and is an enormous Red Wings fan. If you are into hockey at all, you really need to come see our entirely Red Wings basement. Dan is a retired teacher and now plays hockey 6 days a week! I know your visit here is no until September, but we will be following you on your website. Please feel free to contact us if you’d like a place to stay as you go through Northeast Ohio. There are lots of other cool things to do here locally. If you like roller coasters, Cedar Point Amusement Park is about an hour west of us in Sandusky, Ohio–it is always ranked among the top coaster parks in the US. We also have the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame here, and a terrific Great Lakes Science Center along the Lake Erie lakefront. Dan spotted your story on the CBC.ca website so you are getting a lot of international exposure now. We are looking forward to vicariously enjoying your travel adventures.
