It’s cold in Montreal but we got some good news while waiting for the good weather!

We bought a lot of tickets in the last days for our tour and we also booked a few nights in hotels\campings (we’ll be sleeping mostly in the van but we need to take a shower once in a while!). We also traced our route between towns and ballparks for the 1st part of the trip!

For now we got tickets for the Yankees, Phillies, Pirates, Rangers, Rockies, Reds and many more!

We also got ourselves a bunch of Expos t-shirt that we will give away during the trip (people helping us or simply twitter contest for people meeting us at the games!)

We also planned our rest days in some of the most famous place in the United states: Gettysburg, Savannah and New Orleans.
Also planning possible stops to Nashville, Atlantic City and Roswell!

The adventure is taking form every day and we’re really excited about all of it!

Et bien.. Il pleut et il fait froid.. Mais voici quelques bonnes nouvelles en attendant que le soleil et la chaleur nous reviennent.

Nous avons achetés plusieurs de nos billets, réservés quelques endroits pour des nuits de sommeils tranquilles et tracés plus concrètement notre trajet.

Notamment, comme vous pouvez le constater, nous avons reçu nos billets pour les Yankee’s. Toutefois, nous avons aussi a notre effectif les Mets, Pittsburgh, Philadelphie, Arlington, Phoenix, Denver, Cincinnati et nous continuons d’avancer à chaque jour!

Nous avons aussi louer quelques campings et nous planifions aussi les destinations que nous allons visiter lors de nos jours de congés entre les parties. Par exemple, comme vous pouvez le voir sur notre horaire, nous pensons aller visiter Gettysburg , Savannah, la Nouvelle-Orléans et autre.

Également, nous pensons ajouter un arrêt a Nashville, Atlantic City et peut-être Roswell au Nouveau-Mexique.

Bref, notre aventure continue de se construire et nous sommes de plus en plus excités de partir!

Tout va Bien! / Going well!

We are keeping everyone up to date with the project for now:

– We got a surprise from two friends who bought us our tickets for Fenway Park, our first stop of the tour! We’ll be sitting with them! What a great gift!

– We got ourselves a few pair of tickets. We are really excited to be in Citifield for fireworks night on the 4th of July!

– Last week we met with Martine and Fred. Two montrealers who have already visit the the 30 teams of the MLB. They gave us precious advice and we can’t wait to meet them in Arlington before the Rangers game!

-We officially got our first sponsor! We’ll keep you in touch with that!

-Finally and the most exciting: we got responds from people in Kansas City, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Miami who wants to give a special experience when we’ll be visiting their team!

– Nous avons reçu une surprise de deux de nos amis: des billets pour notre premier match au Fenway Park à Boston! Nous assisterons au match avec eux.

Adry and I decided to sit down and finalize our schedule for the big trip this summer! It’s really hard to plan everything in advance but we’re confident that we could keep the pace and that rain checks won’t stop us.

Also, we added a few of the other places that we want to visit in the USA that are related or not to baseball. This trip is about baseball and all the north american culture that surround it.

If you have any suggestion, feel free to write us and we will add them to our list.

Adry et moi nous sommes assis et nous avons de finaliser notre horaire pour le grand voyage de cet été. C’est très difficile de tout prévoir d’avance, mais nous sommes confiants que nous allons pouvoir garder le rythme et que les matchs reportés par la pluie ne nous retarderons pas.

Nous avons aussi ajouté à la liste des villes et monuments que nous voulons visiter qu’ils soient reliés au Baseball ou non. Ce voyage n’est pas seulement centré sur le baseball mais aussi sur la culture nord américaine qui l’entoure.

pré-saison / Preseason

The two preseason games at the Big O between the Jays and the mets were really a great event to help us prepare our big trip to the 30 stadiums of the MLB. The Olympic stadium may seem ancient to many people but our memories from the Expos era will always give this stadium a special place in our heart.

Montrealers responded well to the invitation. More than 96,000 fans walked through the big O during this weekend. Friday when we were both at the game, the presence of Warren Cromartie on the field for the tribute to Gary Carter raised the roof. The crowd sang and cheered during the whole game specially with the Jay’s walk of single in the 9th inning.

We are considering this a practice game a really good thing before our departure for our first game on July 1st. Saturday for the game we gave away flyers for our project before and after the game to promote it to the baseball fan of Montreal and all the fans from Toronto and the Northeast of the US that visited us this weekend. Stay tuned we’ll keep you posted with any development for the project!

Les deux parties pré-saison présentées au Stade olympique ne pouvaient pas mieux tombées pour préparer notre grand voyage vers les 30 stades de la MLB. Le stade olympique peut sembler vieux et désuet pour plusieurs, mais nos souvenirs des expos vont toujours rendre cet endroit particulier pour tous les fans des expos de ce monde.

Les Montréalais ont répondus en grand nombre à l’invitation de la MLB et nous étions plus de 46,000 fans ce soir au match. La présence de Warren Cromartie sur le terrain au début du match et la cérémonie en hommage à Gary Carter a bien commencé la soirée. L’ambiance était électrisante et la victoire des Jays en 9ième clouait très bien la soirée.

Nous considérions ce match comme une “pratique” avant le grand départ et demain nous serons au abord du stade avant et après le match pour distribuer des “flyers” faisant la promotion de notre projet et de notre partenaire : expos nation.

So this is what our plan look like. I doesn’t take account for roads or natural obstacles but it’s only to show people an idea of our road to the 30 ballparks. Starting from Montreal we’ll be going down the east coast to Florida. Then travel across the south of the USA to the west coast. Going up the west coast (with a stop in Las Vegas!) reaching Seattle. After that heading to Colorado, the Midwest, the great lakes and our last stop in Toronto.

This schedule is temporary and we both know that we’ll probably have to change that due to rain check games or any other problems. It’s gonna be a long way on the road to the 30 ballparks but we’re both motivated and can’t wait to promote the expos nation message all around the United States!

Bon ce plan là ne tient pas compte des routes à suivre ou des obstacles naturels mais vous pouvez voir un aperçu de notre trajet. Nous avons prévu commencer en descendant le long de la côte est des États-Unis jusqu’en floride, traverser le sud d’est en ouest, remonter la côte ouest (avec un arrêt à Las Vegas!) avant de descendre au Colorado, se promener dans le mid west et finir dans les grands lacs avec Toronto comme dernier arrêt!

Tout ce trajet tient compte d’un horaire qui sera certainement modifié lors de ce périple de près de 3 mois à cause d’imprévus et de match reportés par la pluie. Quel voyage ce sera mais nous sommes motivés et attendons avec impatience le jour de notre départ!
